July 3rd, 2005 - "The Many Faces of the Sun". The Sun is the ultimate source of light and life on Earth, an ultimate source of mystery and wonder for people everywhere. Our sense of wonder is enhanced by the scientific knowledge we have gained about the Sun. This presentation celebtades the importance of the Sun"s interactions with our Earth, and features of the Sun that have been revealed to us in x-ray, ultraviolet, and visible light, including magnetic field loops, coronal holes, solar flares, and prominences.
